Simryn’s Blog

This is our attempt to paint a picture of her personality on her birthday before time changes her and our memories of her –

1) she loves music and loves to dance. will grab the step stool from her bathroom, bring it to the living room and dance on top of it if a song really pleases her.

2) she sneaks into our bed every night around 2-230. some nights she will poke one of us to give her permission to climb on or grab her and put her in the middle. She always brings a teddy bear and occasionally a book

3) loves water and swimming. can spend hours in the pool

4) her teacher says she is very attentive, follows rules, and tells other to do so as well. She grabs tissues for other kids who happen to be crying and has genuine affection for them.

5) she loves hands-on wooden toys, plays with them endlessly and then insists on putting them back in the right place (we believe she gets her cleanliness trait from her aunty at home)

5) loves artwork, painting and cutting paper with her kiddy scissors. tore up our grocery list last week

6) loves to play – ‘i spy’ in the car on the way to school and back. Loves chewing gum and asks for it as soon as we get in the car. she wants to crawl to the front to check my stock if I say i don’t have it.

7) loves bubble baths and the giant bubbles her aunty makes for her

8) eats white rice, bread, fish, chicken and fries. Not too keen on greens

9) hates brushing her teeth and cries incessantly every morning.

10) likes to be carried and gives big hugs -where she pats your back while hugging you. Shy with new people intially but warms up qucikly (like her dad)

11) love screaming – ALL IZ WELL – in crowded places

12) loves the iphone and is jealous of her cousins ipad – favorite apps on iphone are ‘cupcake’ and ‘animal barn’

13) loves to run on grass – that’s probably cause there is so little here in DXB

14) to parental horror – she loves Barney and anything in ‘PINK’

15) has a good sense of humor – where she will call you by the wrong name on purpose, and then smile and say – ‘i joking with you’
